System Engineer

Job Description

As a ThinkParQ system and support engineer for BeeGFS, you have the important job of delivering BeeGFS to its users and making sure that they get the most out of their systems:

  • Help our partners and customers to design, setup and tune BeeGFS storage solutions
  • Respond to support requests from our customers around the globe
  • Visit conferences and workshops
  • Help optimizing BeeGFS for new hardware generations and platforms
  • Test new releases of BeeGFS
  • Have a lot of fun as you see that your work enables our customers to solve their tough problems and helps to steadily grow the BeeGFS community around the globe

Required and Desirable Skills

  • Familiar with general Linux system management
  • Experience in storage infrastructure management is an advantage
  • Experience in Linux cluster management is an advantage
  • Familiar with commonly used scripting languages like Python and shell scripting
  • Ability to read C/C++ code or other common programming languages and to write simple programs is an advantage
  • You should be able to prioritize tasks, to deal with responsibility and to think proactively
  • You should be fluent in English and German
  • The quality of your work needs to be of utmost importance to you to make sure that our users can rely on our software for their business critical applications

You will be working primarily in our office in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
